When it comes to vintage shopping, Portland has an insane amount of quality places to keep the keenest thriftier occupied. Whether you’re looking for a Mad Men inspired piece of furniture or just a quirky little something to display on a shelf, your needs can easily be met.
The East side of town had been my favourite area for a good rummage, but as I don’t have a car and *hate* buses I was seriously over the moon when I stumbled across the sweetest little vintage shop just a few streets away from home, Pop-up Shoppe.
Situated in North West Portland on the gorgeous 23rd Avenue, the owners describe the shop as “Vintage vignette styling with a bohemian soul rooted in rock ‘n roll” this shop is literally crammed from floor to ceiling full of goodies, like the best vintage stores should be.
For me, I love the feeling of hunting through piles of junk, hoping to find that special something to take home. This shop fills me with joy as there is plenty of nooks and crannies and piles of cool items to get stuck into.
They very sweetly let me take some photos to show you just how jam packed and full of goodies it really is.
Hunt high and low to find unique household pieces, comics, tea cups, toys and even reasonable designer pieces. I even spotted a Yves Saint Laurent dress for less than $100, too bad it was too big or I would’ve snatched it up.
To top it all of it’s dog friendly and the super cool and knowledgeable staff make this the sweetest little vintage store I’ve been to so far.
If you happen to be visiting Portland, make sure you pop in and take a look. Just watch your head if you’re over 6 ft, it’s teeny!

I scored the best vintage gold clutch from here! I often stop in on my walks home from the street car…definitely a place worth digging through
So glad you discovered it!
It’s a complete treasure trove in there, I love it! x
